DESCRIPTION: The phospholipid lecithin is the main component of human cell membranes. Lecithins in encapsulated form are vesicles that, in addition to their function as a component of the cell membrane, can transport water-soluble active agents like for example soya extract.
APPLICATION: Lecithin is a common natural emulsifier – it helps water and oil blend together. In bread it is used to achieve increased volume and better crust. In addition, chocolate would not be as velvety and smooth as we know it without lecithin.
EFFECT: Lecithin supplies the skin with lipids – on the surface and in the deeper layers of the skin - and makes it smooth and supple. It maintains the cell membranes, facilitating the absorption of healthy nutrients into the cell interior and increasing the defence against free radicals and pollutants.
